摘要
For the deepen understanding of salt-out two phase flow in centrifugal pump, the software FLUENT was used to calculate the flow field in a centrifugal pump. The population balance module was loaded and user-defined crystal growth and nucleation models were used on the basis of a two-phase mixture model to obtain the variation law of flow field at different flow rates and volume concentrations of solid phase. When the research results were compared with the particle balance model(PB M),which only considers the coalescence and breakage,it was found that the average size of particles in the impeller and the head and efficiency of the pump are close to those of the experimental data when the calculation considers both nucleation and growth of crystallization particle. On the other hand, the distribution of average particle size is significantly affected by the pump operating conditions and volume concentration of solid phase. It was observed that the distribution of large-size particles agrees with that of average-size particles; however, the distributions of middle and small-size particles are opposite. © 2018, Editorial Department of Journal of HEU.
