Experimental research on preparation of CNTs/Cu mixture powder by mechanical ball milling method

摘要
Carbon nanotubes/Cu mixtures were treated by high-energy ball milling processing for different times, and the sample were observed by SEM. The results indicate that the CNTs would turn into nano-particles if they were ball milled with Cu for a long time. The carbon nanotubes should be ball milled to nano-whiskers before mixed with Cu powders. Relative high rotation speed is needed and the milling time should less than 60 minutes which would make the CNTs distributed in Cu powder homogenously.
