摘要：
This paper covers the modelling and simulation approach to open cut coal mine operation. In particular it looks at the utilisation of employees and the priority of coal seams with the aid of SLAMSYSTEM modelling environment and SLAM II simulation language. The paper concentrates on which of the three coal seams resources, such as labour, should be allocated to and in what sequence. Various simulation runs are presented together with their results that can support decisions in day-to-day mine management.
