EPS in Kassel: Prepress company moves into digital waterless offset

EPS GmbH is investing in future technology with the Ryobi 3404 DI direct imaging machine for digital offset printing. The reasons for buying the machine were a very high level of automation; modern technology with digital plate setting directly in the machine; high print quality; compact dimensions; solid construction; favourable price/performance ratio. Following two months of intense practical experience with the Ryobi 3404 DI, the company has reported its first successes. Technical, qualitative and economic expectations were fulfilled to the highest level possible. These included fault-free running of the machine even in over long operating periods at high output, extremely rapid changing between jobs; more jobs possible each day than with classical offset. The existence of a printing works that can offer small and very small-edition multicoloured jobs rapidly and cheaply has already awakened the interest of many advertising agencies in digital offset technology.
