摘要:
The American Forest & Paper Association has joined an international industry effort to reduce trade barriers and put in place more effective trade rules for forest and wood products through the World Trade Organization (WTO). At a May meeting in Oaxaca, Mexico, representatives of the forest and paper industries from various countries agreed to consult regularly amongst themselves with a view to coordinating their respective positions and strategies respect to the negotiations. Between them, the industries concerned represent 34 percent of world trade in wood products, 54 per cent of world trade in pulp and 25 per cent of world trade in paper and paperboard.
