摘要
The barium sulfate crystallization behavior was researched by measuring the solution conductivity changes with electrical resistance tomography (ERT). A conductivity measuring device was established, for the reaction of barium chloride and sodium sulfate in different concentration solutions, the change of conductivity in the process of homogeneous barium sulfate crystallization in real-time was detected. The conductivity change curve was analyzed. The results show that the crystallization process can be divided into induced stages, the nucleation stage and growth stage. The batch crystallization reaction of barium sulfate is mainly completed in 10-15 min, the nucleation control time is shortened significantly, and it has little effect on the crystal growth process, with the increase of solution concentration. Using electrical resistance tomography to study barium sulfate crystallization behavior has a high sensitivity. © 2016, Central South University of Technology. All right reserved.
