摘要
Recent advancements in wireless communication have underscored the importance of enhancing network capacity and coverage while minimizing energy consumption. Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) is a promising technology that can significantly improve the data rates of wireless systems by dynamically controlling the propagation of signals. This paper explores the integration of RIS with energy harvesting techniques, specifically focusing on harnessing energy from water flow. By leveraging the potential of water flow energy generation, we propose a novel framework where RIS not only serves to enhance wireless communication but also becomes energy-autonomous. Our study highlights the principles of energy harvesting from water flow, the operational mechanics of RIS, and the synergistic benefits of this integration. Through simulations, we demonstrate the feasibility of our approach, showing improvements in energy efficiency and system performance. This work aims to pave the way for sustainable wireless communication systems that are self-sufficient and resilient, contributing to the broader goal of green technology in telecommunications.
