Unconfined seepage field of arch dam abutment slope was studied. This paper is composed of two parts. The first part concerns with the numerical methods used in the analysis, which includes the identification of rock blocky system and the algorithm of the unconfined seepage flow in the discontinuity network with the consideration of the grouting curtain and drainage curtain. In the second part a complicated arch dam abutment slope was studied, for which the seepage flow field characteristics was analyzed and the seepage control system was evaluated.
