摘要
This paper summarizes essential climbing phenomenon of the animals who can walking on slippy surfaces. Adhesion mechanisms are classified and research trends at present are analysed. Based on theoretical contact mechanics, the reason of downscaling of the contact elements are given. Biomimetic mechanical applications are introduced and some problems are put forward in the research of the animal adhesion mechanisms.
