Effect of time-delay on stability of a typical second-order oscillatory system

摘要
The stability analysis for a class of typical second-order oscillatory systems was presented. The effects of signal transmission time-delay on performances of closed loop control systems with unit negative feedback and unit positive feedback were analyzed, respectively. The relationship between time-delay and stability of a closed loop control system was obtained via drawing and analyzing Nyquist curves in different regions of relative damping coefficient value. The simulation examples of unit step response for each situation were processed and their results showed that the analysis is correct.
