摘要
With the continuous increase of the proportion of new energy in the new power system, the voltage and inertia support ability of power supply is declining, and the synchronous condenser is becoming the key equipment to ensure the sustainable development of new energy. This paper introduces the latest technical progress of synchronous condensers, analyzes and prospects the technical development direction of synchronous condensers in the future according to the actual demand of power grid. At present, the excellent performance of the new synchronous condenser in China is mainly reflected in the strong voltage support and overload capacity, and the management and improvement of its inertia are still not paid enough attention to. In the future, with the increase of the penetration rate of asynchronous power supply, the frequency problem caused by insufficient system inertia will be gradually highlighted. High inertia condenser, energy storage condenser and biaxial excitation condenser are expected to become the main technical development direction. In addition, the condenser transformation of decommissioned thermal power and active hydropower units is also an effective technical scheme to support the development of the future power system, which has great engineering value and social benefits. ©2023 Chin.Soc.for Elec.Eng.
