摘要
The compatibility of α-methylstyrene resin CSR6200 with three kinds of solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber (SSBR) and its effects on the properties of vulcanizates were studied. The results show that the α-methylstyrene resin shifts the glass transition temperature (Tg) peak of SSBR1 most, and the difference between tested Tg and the value calculated by the Fox equation is smaller, which indicates that SSBR1 has a better compatibility with resin CSR6200. The resin improvs the processing performance of three different SSBR, and the Mooney viscosity is decreased. The addition of the resin also induces larger resilience difference between high temperature (70℃) and room temperature (25℃), which represents better tread property balance between wet skid resistance and rolling resistance, and in this case, SSBR1 shows better improvement due to its better compatibility with resin CSR6200. © 2021, Editorial Board of Polymer Materials Science & Engineering.
