摘要
The controllable nuclear fusion can be achieved by using ultra-high intensity heavy-ion beam bombarding on D-T target, however, the related facilities are too huge to build up to now. Recently, the heavy-ion accelerator technology is developed rapidly, especially in laser ion source and multi-beam cavity accelerator, which makes heavy-ion inertial fusion (HIF) possible. This paper presented a design of a renewed HIF driver, especially the design of the multi-beam cavity accelerator in low and middle energy regions. It provides technical support for HIF. © 2019, Editorial Board of Atomic Energy Science and Technology. All right reserved.
