摘要
Green manufacturing technology is the development trend of today's manufacturing industry, catering to the development requirements of sustainable development concepts. Metal cutting tools are also developing towards green, pollution-free, efficient, low consumption, and energy-saving green dry cutting. Based on this concept, the concept of mesoscopic geometric feature cutting tools has been proposed. Mesoscopic geometric features (cutting edge, micro texture) are tiny features are tiny features between the macro and micro scales. The micro-texture on the tool surface can reduce the tool-chip contact length, capture abrasive particles and chips and other impurities, thereby improving the cutting performance of the tool and the surface quality of the workpiece. The treatment of the cutting edge can also improve the wear resistance of the cutting tool, improve the cutting state, and improve the quality of the machined surface. Research has found that mesoscopic geometric features have a significant impact on the force thermal characteristics, workpiece surface quality, and tool life during the machining process. Therefore, the current research status of the influence of mesoscopic geometric features on various aspects of cutting performance of cutting tools has been summarized, and the influence law of mesoscopic geometric features on the comprehensive cutting performance of cutting tools has been explored, providing reference for the optimization design and preparation of mesoscopic geometric feature cutting tools in the future. © 2024 Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society.
