Game Analysis of Multi-energy Market in Strategic Biddings Between Integrated Energy Suppliers Including Wind Power

The multi-energy complementary nature of integrated energy systems facilitates the absorption of the intermittent renewable energy sources. In order to reflect the market value of integrated energy systems and encourage their investment and development, it will be a trend for the integrated energy providers to participate in the multi-energy market competition. This paper studies the problem how the integrated energy suppliers with wind power generators participate in the competition of the electricity wholesale market and the natural gas market at the same time. We consider the electric conversion devices such as the power to gas equipment and the natural gas generating units, and introduce the real-time natural gas market to make up for the bid deviation of the integrated energy suppliers under the background that the natural gas price is generally lower than the electricity price. A multi-energy market joint equilibrium model with the strategic biddings between the integrated energy suppliers including wind power and the electric conversion equipment is established, and the nonlinear complementary method is used to solve the equilibrium model. Numerical examples are presented to verify the reasonableness and effectiveness of the model, and the results show that the increase of the proportion of wind power will help to reduce the prices in the day-ahead electricity market, and the real-time and the day-ahead gas markets, promoting the profit and social welfare of each of the integrated energy suppliers. © 2023 Power System Technology Press.
