Based on the database of industrial enterprises above designated size in China, 15145 intelligent manufacturing enterprises were selected, combined with the field investigation in the main regions of intelligent manufacturing. After peer review, a list of 322 candidates was generated. Then experienced industry experts examined the ability of the candidate enterprises from two aspects of "exploitative innovation" and "exploratory innovation", and got the top 100 list of China's intelligent manufacturing enterprises. Subsequently, according to the industry classification, the list of intelligent machinery manufacturing enterprises was obtained. After summarizing the basic situation of intelligent machinery manufacturing enterprises on the list, the top 20 enterprises were analyzed, and the development path and future development trend of intelligent machinery manufacturing in China were given herein. © 2020, China Mechanical Engineering Magazine Office.
