摘要
The liquid-porous medium is a type of biomimetic tribological material, which inspired by articular cartilage and plays a significant role in industrial production due to its good self-lubricating properties. Early designs of the porous liquid storage media are mostly based on different matrix materials and framework structures. The lubrication numerical models of the porous liquid storage media were established based on the ideal single-factor boundaries and lacked a systematic theoretical description, which limits the large-scale industrial application of the liquid-porous medium. According to the different structures and lubrication mechanisms of the liquid-porous medium, they are classified into the finite straight pore liquid storage media and the random porous liquid storage media. On this basis, the effects of cavitation, fluid motion, inertia effect, and fluid-solid interaction on the lubrication performances of the finite straight pore liquid storage media are summarized. And the development of the random porous liquid storage medium lubrication theory related to seepage mechanics, fluid-solid coupling, and the application status of the liquid-porous medium are also summarized. The problems that existed in studying the lubrication mechanism of the liquid-porous medium are analyzed and discussed, which have important reference significance for promoting the study of the lubrication mechanism and the application in engineering practice of the liquid-porous medium. © 2022 Editorial Office of Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering.
