摘要
The area of Cellular and Molecular Biology has a large volume of videos on streaming platforms, such as YouTube. The present study aimed to analyze the access data generated from the YouTube channel "Amo C & eacute;lulas", considering that the short videos on this channel address central and transversal themes in Cellular and Molecular Biology in an accurate way and were created taking into account as references the theories of Meaningful Learning, Didactic Transposition and Cognitive Load. The videos were produced in their entirety by students from biological and health sciences courses as part of teaching activities and extension projects linked to the curricular component of Cellular and Molecular Biology between the years 2017 and 2023. The audience profile was predominantly young and female, with an age range compatible with that of the academic community. The channel reached more than fifty thousand views, suggesting that short videos can contribute as a support tool for to the popularization of science and the teaching-learning process in Cellular and Molecular Biology.
