The study of teacher identity has emerged in recent years as a topic of interest for researchers seeking to understand its construction and the professional lives of teachers. This study aims to analyze scientific research on teacher and professional identity, published and stored in the Web of Sciences database, between 2010 and 2020. A total of 82 documents were analyzed using bibliometric indicators such as temporal distribution, journal production, authorship characteristics, information sources, methodological approaches, study types, instruments, and thematic analysis. The results show an increase in scientific production over the past five years, with a predominance of qualitative research. The thematic analysis indicates that teacher identity is considered a dynamic and changing construction according to context and time, linked to social and professional factors, initial teacher training, and the individual's beliefs. Its study focuses on life history and is linked to the professional realm when constructed within initial teacher training, personal and professional contexts, and when connected to discipline or pedagogy.
