摘要
In the present study, the effects of a multilingual informal home literacy environment (HLE) at pre-school age on reading comprehension in German at primary school age are investigated using a path model (N = 105). Significant direct effects are found for HLE in both German and other languages with moderate effect sizes. Mediated by reading comprehension in school age, pre-school HLE is a significant predictor of reading comprehension up to grade 3.
