This Special Issue on Intelligent Networks at the Edge contains a collection of invitation-only extensions based on papers presented at the Future Optical Networks and Communications (FONC) Symposium in the IEEE Future Network World Forum (FNWF), 13-15 November 2023, Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
