摘要
The purpose of the study is to learn about and analyze people's preferences regarding two visual representations of the uncertainty of parameter estimates for decision makers. The research is related to the perception of fuzzy numbers represented classically by triangles and, more recently, in the form of specifically constructed vectors. In a series of pairwise comparisons, the participants were to determine which representation of the change in the selected parameter is clearer. The obtained results are then analyzed and formally statistically verified. The presented investigation findings extend the knowledge about subjective assessments of different graphical ways of presenting parameter uncertainty. From a practical point of view, the obtained results provide recommendations for the design of graphical user interfaces in which fuzzy data are presented to users.
