摘要
Engineering education often relies heavily on mathematical and technical concepts. The practical vision of these concepts is essential to make the students understand them better and strengthen their knowledge. One of the areas where a practical teaching approach is frequently applied is the use of industrial sensors, their characteristics, and the requirements for adapting the measured information. Specially, ultrasonic sensors have a wide range of applications in the industry due to their flexibility of use in diverse situations. The work presented in this paper proposes the development of a didactical ultrasonic distance measurement equipment for its use in the practical laboratory sessions of Electronic Instrumentation subject of the Undergraduate Degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering, taught in the Escuela Politecnica Superior of the Universidad de Sevilla. By immersing students in hands-on ultrasonic measurement, experiments can be performed to explore signal processing, wave behavior, and data interpretation, which helps bridge the gap between theory and practice.
