Alternative forms of education in the Francophonie: Methodological challenges, history, governance, and educational success

摘要
This thematic issue focuses on the growth of alternative forms of education in the Francophonie and the challenges to study them. Thus, the evolution of research is not proportional to its growth. The special issue proposes themes representing important challenges for studying this type of education. It addresses four areas: 1) the methodological issues of this body of research; 2) the history of the alternative education movement; 3) the governance of its different forms and 4) the educational success of young people. The authors of the thematic issue tackle these questions headon, with six articles that significantly contribute to the field within these areas.
