(Abstracted from JAMA Network Open 2024;7(2):e2355990 Up to 21% of pregnant people use opioids to treat acute pain at some point in their pregnancies. Several studies have examined the impact of medication-assisted therapy among women with opioid use disorders and their outcomes, including neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome.
