摘要
This study examines the gender gap in income and job satisfaction among graduates of a Master's in Teaching for Higher Education in Chile, utilizing a sample of 337 alumni. Against the backdrop of educational reforms aimed at gender equity, the impact of these measures on equality within the academic sphere was assessed. Through a survey, differences in the perception of job satisfaction and post-graduation career mobility were investigated, focusing on the salary disparity between genders. The findings reveal that, although there are no significant differences in job satisfaction between men and women, a substantial income gap persists, highlighting the challenges in achieving economic equity. The study underscores the need for ongoing policy interventions to address wage equity and explores the implications of the shift to online education for gender equality in academia. It contributes to the discourse on how educational reforms can promote gender equality and economic growth.
