摘要
Article 14 of Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 is stating that any food should be considered as injurious to health with regard to the probable health effects. Using cannabidiol (CBD) as an example, this article argues that in accordance with the principles of consumer health protection, exposition levels below the LOAEL (lowest observed adverse effect level) may also be regarded as injurious to health. In this context, we present a comparison of an approximative probabilistic risk assessment with a standard deterministic approach.
