SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION OF AIRCRAFT LONGITUDINAL MOTION UTILIZINGFLIGHT SIMULATOR DATA

摘要
In the presentedarticle, an exemplaryproblemof identifying the parameters of an aircraft's motion withinthe vertical plane of symmetry is solved. The data was collected by FlightGear simulator for a Pilatus PC-9M aircraft flight case. After submittingasequence of commands to pitch elevatorand engine thrust, the simulator records fiveparameters of longitudinalmotionatacertain frequency. The collected data are further used to build a state-space model of theflightthrough least-squares estimation. The obtained numerical results are compared with theexperimental ones and are overlaid graphically.Charts depicting elevator angle to trim arealsoderived.A source code developed inGNU Octave wasapplied,andthe problemwas solved.
