摘要
The increasing use of antibiotics promote the antibiotic resistance and is considered a public health problem. To reduce this issue, is necessary the design of new strategies. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have gained attention as antimicrobial agent. AgNPs obtained from biosynthesis are economical/ecofriendly, moreover, integrate bioactive compounds with antimicrobial activity, such as the Annona muricata, known for its antimicrobial properties. The aim of our study is to investigate the antimicrobial effect of AgNPs based on extracts of leaves (AgNPs-LE) and peel (AgNPs-PE) of Annona muricata. The AgNPs were characterized by UV-Vis, FTIR, TEM-SAED, then broth dilution and disc broadcast tests were performed to determine the inhibitory and effective concentration, respectively. Our results show that AgNPs-LE and AgNPs-PE have antimicrobial properties by deducing the S. aureus, E. coli, E. faecalis, and C. albicans in culture. These findings highlight the importance of AgNPs from of A. muricata as possible treatment of microbial infections.
