摘要：
One maternal death per quarter due to genital -entry infection. Sixty-nine percent avoidability, therefore signi fi cant room for improvement. In case of intrauterine infection: look for signs of clinical and biological severity that predict the risk of progression to septic shock; discuss uterine evacuation, an integral part of treatment after initiation of broad-spectrum antibiotics in the presence of severe signs. In the event of signs suggestive of peripartum toxi-infection, consider Streptococcus A beta-hemolyticus, and immediately start empirical antibiotic therapy combined with an anti -toxin antibiotic.
