Influence of the characteristics of the aggregate on the fatigue performance of the epoxy asphalt mixture

摘要
In order to reduce the fatigue cracking of the epoxy asphalt mixture steel bridge deck and extend the service life of the steel bridge deck pavement, this paper obtained the aggregate fracture area of the beam fracture using the digital image processing software, and then explored the relationship between the aggregate fracture and the mixture fatigue performance. The results indicate that: the influence of aggregate fracture on the fatigue performance of the epoxy asphalt mixture is significant. Aggregate fracture takes place more in the epoxy asphalt of coarse gradation and low asphalt aggregation ratio. The increase of flexural strength of the aggregate can decrease aggregate fracture and in turn enhance the fatigue performance of the mixture.
