摘要
A novel dual-mode-composite (DMC) cavity resonator is proposed. The DMC cavity is fulfilled based on a rectangular waveguide (RW) cavity by introducing an array of periodic metallic pins into it. Benefiting the introduced periodic metallic pins, the electromagnetic band-gap structures (EBGs) are formed in the DMC cavity and two TE101-like modes are excited in it. By cascading the DMC cavity resonators, a dual-band filter is designed with three millimeter-wave (mm-wave) band filtering channels and one microwave-band filtering channel.
