This article discussed the implementation of three different tools into the system of the dynamic testing room of the Railway Research Institute. The workplace and its main activity were described in the introduction to the article. The first part of the contribution deals with the 5S organizational system and workplace standardization, explains the established terms and gives an example of workplace standardization in a thermomechanical testing room. The second part of the contribution presents the digital twin project and its advantages in increasing work efficiency. As part of the digital twin, the test space and the test room equipment were converted into digital form, and tools were introduced to facilitate the assembly of test sets. The last part was devoted to the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) system, which, despite the short period of operation, shows the first results and fulfils theoretical and experimental expectations.
