Electro-Optic Frequency Comb Generation with 8-GHz Repetition-Rate and Few-Picosecond Pulse Duration at 1-um

摘要
We demonstrate few-picosecond pulse at 8-GHz repetition rate, by electro-optic modulation. By use of an intensity modulator and a phase modulator, the pulse has a 1-nm of 10-dB spectral bandwidth and 67-ps of pulse duration. A triple-pass structure with an 1800-l/mm of high-groove grating compensated the dispersion of pulse after amplification. As a result, we obtained few-picosecond of pulse width at 8-GHz repetition rate, which is closed to the transform-limited pulse duration.
