摘要
This research was directed to the implementation of social intervention projects in the line of education for sustainable development. This process was carried out by students of the Social Work Career, Universidad T & eacute;cnica de Manab & iacute;, led by the teacher in charge of the Professional Intervention I course. The methodological approach was qualitative, with a critical reflective paradigm, through participatory action research. The canton of Portoviejo, province of Manab & iacute;, was the context in which the intervention projects were carried out, highlighting the participation of the communities and the students as protagonists of the social process. The projects implemented to strengthen environmental education, care of the beach, recycling, proper use of fishing, school gardens, among others, are presented. It is concluded that the actions developed by the collective contributed to strengthen environmental education to preserve sustainability, which contributes to the balance of the undeferrable binomial between nature and human beings.
