摘要：

Analysis of the festivities organized in Tegucigalpa (Honduras) from 5 to 7 May 1905 to celebrate the third centenary of the publication of Don Quixote . The analysis allows us to understand how the figure of Cervantes was received in America as a myth of Hispanism, as well as the most common interpretation of the novel, based on the ideas imposed by Juan Varela and Marcelino Men & eacute;ndez Pelayo.
