摘要
Based on the theory of transfer matrix method, the relationships between the acoustic impedance at the open end of the open-air thermoacoustic generator system and the transfer matrix including the looped tube and the open-air resonator were deduced and established. The linear radiation model at small amplitude and the nonlinear dissipation model at high amplitude were theoretically analyzed. On this basis, the open-air traveling wave thermoacoustic generator system was experimentally studied under different diameters (38, 46, 64 mm), lengths (450, 530, 630, 730 mm) and cone tube taper (40°, 45°, 50°) of the open-air resonator. Experimental results of acoustic impedance at the open end under different experimental conditions were compared with theoretical results of the linear radiation model and the nonlinear dissipation model. Analysis results show that with the increase of gas amplitude at the open end, the linear radiation model at small amplitude is not adapted due to obvious deviation, whereas the experimental results are in good agreement with the nonlinear dissipation model. © 2021, Editorial Board of Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
