Electrical behavior of polyvinyl alcohol filled by neodymium oxide and cadmium oxide nanoparticles synthesized via laser ablation for optoelectronic devices

摘要
In this study, we utilized laser ablation approach to synthesize Cadmium oxide and Neodymium oxide nanoparticles. Subsequently, these nanoparticles were integrated into Poly Vinyl Alcohol solution to create polymer nanocomposite via solution casting technique. XRD patterns of Neodymium oxide nanoparticles were associated with the reflections of planes (100), (002), (101), (102), (110), (103), and (201), respectively, at 31.82 degrees, 34.59 degrees, 36.49 degrees, 47.71 degrees, 56.91 degrees, 63.09 degrees, 68.14 degrees, and 69.15 degrees. The XRD patterns were observed at 2 theta angles of 33.33 degrees, 38.64 degrees, 44.43 degrees, 55.90 degrees, and 58.55 degrees, indicating the presence of cadmium oxide nanoparticles. The reduction in hydrogen bonding within the -OH group of pure PVA leads to the creation of hydrogen bond arrangements between the polyvinyl alcohol matrix and Nd2O3/CdO, serving as a key factor in the characteristic intensification. The presence of the PVA/Nd2O3/CdO greatly enhanced the charge/capacitive storage capabilities of the produced nanocomposites. The remarkable improvement in AC conductivity and dielectric characteristics highlights the advantageous uses of PVA/Nd2O3/CdO nanocomposite in energy storage devices.
