Good and effective approach of teaching has always been of the pursuit of language teachers.There have been heated discussions on the effective ways of of English teaching.Some are in favor of the communicative approach while others are of the traditional approach.This paper will discuss these two kinds of approaches and make an analysis of the teacher's role in different aproaches.
