Dipolar dephasing (D. D.) technique has some advantages in studying the structure of coal and kerogen. The proportion of non-protonated aromatic carbon or non-protonated aliphatic carbon in total aromatic carbon or aliphatic carbon can be calculated by a series of experiments with different Ttime.
