Earthquake of 1575: Representations and speeches in the captaincy general of Chile in Century XVI

The following article concentrates surroundings to the earthquake happened in Chile in 1575 and has like objectives identifying the representations that were generated from the telluric movement and to search the effects of the earthquake in the redefinition of the spaces in the conquest process, for which we have occupied documents of governmental character, that is to say, reports of the governor, of the town hall and of the different lawyers who came to exert like oidores of the first Royal Court.
