The Millenium Development Goals (MDG), a milestone for international development cooperation in achieving global agreements towards common approaches to solve modern history's greatest problems, are about to expire. This is why the formulation of the post-2015 agenda, which is able to achieve a common agenda towards 2030, is being - triggered through various scenarios. In this essay the authors analyse the process through which the new agenda is discussed in such scenarios through the participation of 'new' actors, with the aim of better socialising the process in the Spanish-speaking world. Thus, they first describe progress and lessons learned from previous processes, and subsequently analyse to which extent these have been included in the current post-2015 agenda-formation. The authors conclude with a reflection on the main challenges, new research and analysis questions to be considered as the process matures.
