Dictionaries and Grammar Books in Yekaterinburg Library of V. N. Tatishchev

The article analyzes a particular group of hooks from V. N. Tatishchey's private library which he gathered during several decades, and which comprises dictionaries and grammars in the Russian and foreign languages, including bi- and trilingual editions. The author reconstructs the structure of the collection, focusing on Tatishchev's position as to the importance of foreign language teaching at school and, thanks to the owner's notes, establishes the dates and places of purchasing of some volumes.
