摘要
To respond effectively to a disaster requires knowledge, flexibility, planning and practice. Developing a sustainable model in Hawaii and the Pacific region for disaster planning and preservation is the logical extension of the lessons learned from the flash flood in October 2006 at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM) Library. Surfing is a useful metaphor. (C) 2006 by The Haworth Press, Inc. All rights reserved.
