摘要
Objective: To assess the demographic properties, risk factors and treatment outcomes of the stroke patients. Material method: 51 patients from IEAH PMR inpatient clinic were enrolled in the study and assessed retrospectively. The properties as age, gender, stroke type, risk factors, physical therapy durations at the hospital were recorded. In the pre and post-treatment motor function evaluations Brunnstrom motor staging method was used. Outcomes: There were 51 patients and 26(51%) of them were women, 25(49%) were men. The mean age 65,12 +/- 10.02 years. 21,6% of the lesions was hemorrhagic, 78,4% was ischemic in origin. The mostly seen risk factor was hypertension(88,2%). The other risk factors were Diabetes Mellitus(19,6%), lschemic Heart Disease(37,3%), Hyperlipidemia( 19,6%) and cigarette use(13,7%). The 62,7% of the patients treatedin the clinic shorter than 3 weeks, 31,4% of them had 3-6 weeks therapy and 5,9% had more than 6 weeks. The mean of motor stages as pre-treatment and post-treatment respectively was 3,61 +/- 1,6-4,06 +/- 1,4 for lower extremity, 2,90 +/- 1,7-3,37 +/- 1,7 for upper extremity and 3,04 +/- 1,9-3,31 +/- 1,9 for hand. Results: While the re was statistically significant difference between pre and post treatment motor scores; gender and type of lesion had no significant effect on treatment outcomes.
