摘要
It is essential to prevent the aggregation and crystal growth of Pt particles to fabricate highly dispersed Pt coated electrodes. This study is an attempt to prepare highly dispersed Pt coated Ti electrodes by combination of partial thermal decomposition and electrolytic reduction of Pt(NO2)(2)(NH3)(2) nitric acid solution. The optimum fabrication condition was attained at drying temperature of 50 degrees C, thermal decomposition temperature of 350 degrees C, and electroreduction potential of 0 V (vs. Ag/AgCl). Repeating coating-drying-thermal decomposition processes with a Pt content of 0.05 mg/cm(2) each cycle improved adhesion and increased surface area of Pt. The anode potential of the electrode having a Pt content of 3 mg/cm(2) was about 0.4 V lower than that of Pt plate electrode.
