摘要
New material from Henderson and Ducie Islands, and a review of other available records, shows that six species of lizards (three geckos and three skinks) have been recorded from the Pitcairn Group. All are widespread in the South Pacific. Lepidodactylus lugubris is the first gecko to be identified from Henderson and Ducie. Lipinia noctua is reported from Henderson Island for the first time. All of 45 specimens of Emoia from the four islands of the group are E. cyanura, as recently redefined, and not the sibling species E. impar. Gehyra mutilata probably reached Pitcaim as a stowaway in cargo within the last century; the other species may have been spread by Polynesian voyagers in prehistoric times.
