摘要
A formally exact relationship is derived between the Kirkwood-Buff formula for surface tension and the small-wave number limit of the difference between surface excesses of the autocorrelation integrals of force components directed normal and tangential to the planar interface. By expressing these correlation integrals in terms of fluctuating many-body coordinates, relationships are obtained between the Kirkwood-Buff formula and the density fluctuation formula due to Yvon, Triezenberg and Zwanzig, and Lovett, de Haven, Vieceli, and Buff. © 1979 American Institute of Physics.
