摘要
Man is the only animal that thinks that he understands the mechanism that has led to its present as a species. Understanding this process is the first step, which may be followed by consideration of the possibility of acting on it consciously. Man can act now, through biotechnology, on the evolutionary process to try to "enhance" their biological performances, crossing the threshold of humanity in order to achieve a "posthuman" condition. The question of posthumanism is the subject of fierce debate that the article wants to reflect.
