摘要
The author presents a model of copyright law as a means to regulate entry into information markets. The model shows under what conditions copyright rules may lead to excessive or insufficient entry. The entry conditions are used to assess the efficacy of copyright rules in maximizing the sum of consumer and producer surplus.
